their masthead each time it’s always the same font, but they change the colour
to suit the magazine cover, there typical colour you seen vogue in is the black
which is what this cover has.
The colour scheme of this magazine
is a simple lot of colours it’s nothing too bold and bright making the magazine
cover for sophisticated for a higher-class audience. All the coverlines are in
the same colour a pure white while the masthead is in a black suiting the dark
grey background you can see, there is a small statement of colour with the
golden outfit that is being worn. The colour scheme is again supporting that
sophisticated audience as it looks neat and clean with these basic loads of
colours.
Within this magazine cover there
isn’t a wide range of fonts again making this magazine look for clean for that
upper class, most coverlines are using the same font however they different
fonts are all very similar some just skinner and some more bold. You also have
the classic vogue font used making it easier for the audience to know what
magazine it is.
The main image of this magazine
cover is a very quiet image; there isn’t a lot going on with it it’s very
Subtle to look at. The small look at the camera almost makes a connection with
the audience. The small amount of make up shows that this is a simple image
again for that upper class as its looking clean and not over the top. The large
earrings and the statement outfit link to this upper-class audience as it
connects to what they would wear on a similar day to day basis. There is also a
female shown in this main image allowing it to be linked to this female
audience again.
The coverlines within this
magazine cover allow this to link to fashion as it got things saying “season of
coats” “jacket strikes back” “fashion” this allows for the audience to then go
out and buy what’s now in fashion to fit in with this upper-class society. It
also allows for the audience to know about fashion drama so they can get in on
the gossip with these rich people. Someone parts of the coverlines are in
different sizes to make these stand out to the audience first.
The main coverline of this image
shows off Rihanna’s makeup brand as she is the main image so you know it will
be somewhere within the magazine. It also says “finding love” which could mean
finding love for her makeup brand or there is gossip about love in this
magazine.
The rule of thirds in this
magazine is sued very well in the bottom middle you have the main coverline
with space to itself, you also get some of the main image across the middle of
everything the main image has a little bit in each section showing it’s the
main piece of this magazine, you also have the coverlines all down the left
side so they are filling blank space of this image.
